First Day
The year 2014-2015 is a land mark year for St Lawrence Eng. Medium School. It gives us a great joy to say that St. Lawrence Eng. Medium School completes ten years after its inception. In the year 2004, we had the joy of inaugurating this mantle of education to cater to the needs of the people in Bondel, as we took up the mission to mould the little ones in this vicinity.
As the memory of this decennial celebration we had the joy of celebration for three days.
On 16th December 2014 K.G section and old students beautified the day with their various talents. The President Rev Fr Andrew D’Souza, the Correspondent of the school encouraged and appreciated the efforts of the success. The chief guest Rev Fr Wilson Vitus D’Soua enhanced the parent’s role in the education of their own children. The guests of honour Mr Reginald D’Souza, the P.T.A vice President and Mrs Mary Miranda the Headmistress of Kannada Medium School Bondel beautified the stage.
Second Day
On 17th December the primary section came out with their colourful programme, meaningful messages and kept the audience at wonder. The President Rt. Rev. Msgr Denis M. Prabhu expressed his views on students. The chief Guest Dr Sathish Kallimar appreciated about the fast progress of the school. The guests of honour Rev. Fr Andrew D’Souza, Mr Reginald D’Souza and Mrs Mary Miranda were the dignitaries of the day. This day conveyed the conveyed the message to remain as a true patriot.
Third Day
On 19th December 2014 was the grand finale. The bishop of Mangaluru Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza said in presidential speech that “education means the holistic development of the person. It should mainly focus on moral education of each and every student”. Rev. Fr Jerald D’Souza the secretary of Catholic Board of Education was the chief guest. He was appreciative about the success and added that parents are the first educators for their own children. The guests of honour Rev. Fr Antony Serrao and Mr Denis N. D’Souza were honoured for their constructive support in starting this school Rev. Fr Antony Serrao expressed his deep love for our school and appreciated the efforts.
The other guests of honour were Mr Mahabala Marla, Mayor Mangaluru City Corporation. Rev. Fr Andrew D’’Souza. Rev Fr Jason V. Monis, Mr Reginald D’Souza and Mrs Mary Miranda. Rt. Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza released the sovinier named “Decennial Light”. As A symbol of remembrance of our decennial celebration the mementos were given to the dignitaries. Being this a final day the High School Students entertained the assembly with their different talents.
The celebration days went on smoothly and peacefully. St Lawrence blessings were with us. We believe he will be with us throughout our life here in our school.
