We are called to believe and our belief is that Mary is the mother of God and she is taken into heaven we all must believe this truth. The one who has faith doesn’t need witness but those who doesn’t believe hundred witnesses are not enough for them. On the other hand we celebrate 69th Independence day and we know we are politically free but are we really free? no we are not we are captivated by many things and we have lost our real freedom said Rev Fr Jason Monis in his homily.

After the mass there was flag hoisting and programme was organized by Church school in the church grounds. Beautiful dance, march fast and singing by the students attracted many. In the presidential speech addressing specially the children  Rev Fr Andrew D’Souza the joint secretary said that we have lost freedom and only money has become the important. Its not only the British took away our freedom now our leaders are taking away our freedom so we must stand for the truth and fight against these injustice and stand for he truth and justice. At this time we can celebrate real freedom he said.
