We, the ward members of Holy Cross Ward, celebrated our annual day on Sunday the 13^th of September ,2015 at 5:15 pm at ‘Nazareth Niwas’ residence. The formal stage programme began with prayer led by our ward leader Mr. Blasius D’Souza followed by a floral welcome to the chief guests- Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza, Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jason Moniz, Parish Council Vice President and the secretary Mr. Henbert Pinto and Mr. Wilfred Alvares, Superior of Nazareth Niwas Sr. Nancy, Ex ward leader Mr. Felix Monteiro and ward leader Mr. Blasius D’Souza onto the dais. Mrs. Precilla Machado, ward secretary presented the annual report after which Mr. Felix Monteiro was honoured by the chief guests for his service. All the elderly among the gathering were honoured with flowers, in a special way Mr. J.F. D’Souza, Miss Lucy Saldanha and Mrs. Stephania D’Souza for their great service to the ward and the parish over the years. The guests conveyed their inspiring message and appreciated us for our service in the ward and the church. Mr. Lancy Menezes, our ward representative delivered the Vote of Thanks.

To begin with the cultural programme, the budding musicians, dancers and actors in our ward displayed their talents with melodius songs, dance and a skit. Mrs. Fanita Mishra and Mrs. Flossy Lewis brought in cheerful and enthusiastic moments with their interesting games. The programme was compered by Master Navil D’Silva and Mrs. Sheryl Machado. Finally we ended the celebration with a fellowship dinner prepared by the ward members and left with a happy heart and a cheerful smile and lots of memories to cherish.
