The Assumption of Mary was celebrated in the morning. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev Fr Andrew D’Souza Parish Priest. Rev Fr Jason Monis preached the homily and highlighting the feast of Assumption and Independence day gave an call to be free from all bondage and to be humble like Mother Mary. ICYM members conducted the liturgy and choir.

After the mass all gathered near the stage outside the church. Rev Fr Andrew D’Souza received the honor from the School children. March fast was lead by school pupil leader Maclin. As the School Leader requested to hoist the flag school Joint Secretary hoisted the flag. Later each student from both English medium and Kannada medium school gave their speech on the occasion of Independence. Rev Fr Andrew D’Souza in his speech gave an call not to point out others but to bring a change with in us and not to do what is not good. Rev Fr Jason Monis, Mr Wilfred Alvares. Miss Grace Head Mistress English Medium School, Mrs Mary Miranda Head Mistress Kannada Medium School were on the dais. Miss Minal mastered the ceremony.
