The first day evening novena as a preparation for the feast of St Lawrence began at 6.00 pm with the Eucharistic celebration.
The theme for the Novena was” Word of God -the foundation of family”. The Eucharistic celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr Ronald Serrao. Breaking the word of God,  Fr Ronald Serrao said “there is a need for our families to be built on the foundation of the Word of God”.
“St Lawrence lead a life of service according to the Word of God, he left everything to serve the poor, and died for Christ because there was a strong foundation of the word of God ” he highlighted. “Serving the society like st. Lawrence and build the foundation of our families on the word of God and live according to the ideals of the Holy Family” he said.

Rev.Fr. Vinod Lobo concelebrated the mass along with and Dn Ashwin Aranha. The choir was led by Paldane Church Choir group.
Bread was distributed to all the devotees.
