The Novena began with the Eucharistic celebration, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jason V. Monis along with Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza and Rev. Fr. Ravi. The Theme of the Novena was “Word of God- Instrument to build our Community”. Special prayers were offered for Love, Unity and Peace in the society.

In the homily Rev. Fr. Jason highlighted the need to build the Christian community with the Word of God as the strong foundation. “In this modern world we have upgraded technology to connect with people, today we have to evaluate on how far we are able to connect to our community. Are we on the path of the Word and love of God or caught in the net of internet?” he Questioned.

“Today let our life and community be built with the love of Christ, by reaching out to people helping them, giving away a part of what we have, let us help the needy in our own community first. St Lawrence gave up his life for the Christian community; he is an inspiration for all of us to live a life of love and service to the Christian community” He highlited.

The choir was led by Milagres Church Choir. Bread was distributed for all the devotees who were present for the Novena.
