The Novena began with the Eucharistic celebration with the theme “Word of God – Light for our Lives”. The Eucharistic celebration was celebrated by Rev Fr. Paul Melwin D’souza along with, Rev Fr. Ajay D’Silva, Rev Fr. Ravi, Rev. Fr. Leo Veigas, Rev Fr. Ajith Rodregues and Rev Fr. Charles. Special prayers were offered for our country India.

In the homily Fr. Paul higlited the words of Mother Teresa saying, “I give you Jesus” and she did it through her deeds. When we are Christians and living a Christian life we cannot be hidden, Jesus wants us to be the light.

“He didn’t say I will take you to the light but Christ said, “I am the light”. And when the light himself is with us, how can we be hidden? We have to go out and spread the light to the world by doing good deeds, helping others, lending a hand to the needy, and only then will we be the light of Christ to the world.” he highlighted.

The choir was led by Mulki Church choir group. Lunch was provided to all the devotees.
