The Annual Feast of St Lawrence began at 6 p.m.  Which was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vijay Machado along with Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Leo Veigas, Rev. Fr. Vinod Lobo, Rev. Fr. Jacob, Rev. Fr. Ajay, and Rev . Fr. Ronald  were present.

The theme of the feast was, “Be a Witness to the Word of God like St. Lawrence”.

In the homily Rev. Fr. Vijay said, “We have to be the witnesses of Christ, the Word of God has healing and it brings peace. The power of the Word of God can be seen in the Old Testament where God through his Words created this world and everything in it and gave it to us to rule over it, and as we read ahead we can find that the Word brought peace, love, solace and it also destroyed the evil that was present.”

“In the New Testament we can see the word of God was accepted and trusted by Mother Mary and became an instrument for the Gods plan. There were miracles from the Word of God, which were spoken by Jesus Christ. Even St Lawrence testified and was martyred for the love of the Word. We being the followers and believers of the Word of God we have to Love the Word of God, we should have our own bible, read the Word of God daily and contemplate on the Word that we read and then practice it” he said.

Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza thanked the Devotees for coming in huge number and wished all the devotees a happy feast. Holy candles were given to the sponsors and well-wishers for the feast. Bread was distributed to all the devotees who had attended the festal Mass.
