The Annual ward day celebration of  Holy Cross Ward was held on Sunday the 01^st of October, 2017 at 4:00 pm at ‘Bala Yesu Nilaya’ at Maryhill. The formal stage programme began with prayer dance followed by a welcome dance by the children of Bala Yesu Nilaya, the function was graced by the chief guests – Parish Priest Rev. Fr Andrew D’Souza, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Henbert Pinto, Superior of Bala Yesu Nilaya Sr Sujyoti, Superior of Nazareth Niwas Sr. Nancy, and Ward leader Mr. Blasius D’Souza. Mrs. Precilla Machado, ward secretary presented the annual report. The guests conveyed their inspiring message and appreciated the ward members for their service in the ward and the church. Mr. Blasius D’Souza, the ward Gurkar delivered the Vote of Thanks.

After refreshments, the cultural programme was presented by the musicians, dancers and actors of the ward who displayed their talents with melodious songs, dance and a skit. The children of Bala Yesu Nilaya also performed two dances. The event was compered by Mrs Babitha Pinto.
