On the 9th day of the Novena in preparation for the Feast of St. Lawrence, the devotees gathered in a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

The theme of the day , “When we get reconciled from our heart with others, our prayer is blessed by God.” This theme emphasized the transformative power of forgiveness and reconciliation in one’s spiritual life.

In the evening, at 5:30 p.m. an adoration service was led by Rev. Fr. Clifford Pinto, setting a reflective and prayerful atmosphere . The solemn mass was presided over by Rev.Fr. Clifford Pinto, Principal , Holy Redeemer English Medium School , Belthangady. Rev.Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest .Rev Fr William D’Souza ,Asst. Parish Priest. Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves Principal St Lawrence Eng. Med. School, Rev Fr Melwin Pinto MSIJ, Rev Fr Theo Pinto concelebrated the mass.

In his homily, Rev.Fr. Clifford delivered a powerful message on the importance of forgiveness, drawing on the day’s theme. He emphasized that forgiveness is not just an act but an attitude that reflects our love for God and others. Fr. Clifford posed a thought-provoking question: Why does God sometimes withhold what we pray for? He outlined four reasons: 1.unconfessed sins, 2. unforgiveness, 3.disobedience,4. praying with the wrong motives. He reminded the devotees that while it may be easy to forgive, asking for forgiveness often requires more humility and courage.

The choir led by the Carmelite Brothers of Infant Jesus Shrine – Bikarnakatte . Special prayers were offered for those struggling with the burden of unforgiveness, both in giving and seeking it, reminding everyone of the grace that comes with a reconciled heart.
