Sunday, June 22 , 2025 On the solemn occasion of the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel, renewed their commitment to this sacred ministry. In a meaningful ceremony, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, the parish priest, received their promises in the presence of the congregation and invoked God’s blessings upon them through a special prayer.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, Principal of St Lawrence English Medium School, who delivered an inspiring homily on the importance and significance of the Holy Eucharist. He beautifully emphasized how the Feast of Corpus Christi is a powerful reminder of Christ’s real presence in the Blessed Sacrament, inviting every believer to deepen their love, reverence, and devotion to the Holy Eucharist. It is a celebration of Jesus’ self-giving love and a call for the faithful to live in communion with Him and with one another through acts of faith, charity, and service.

We pray that God may continue to bless all our Eucharistic Ministers who serve our parish with unwavering dedication, deep reverence, and heartfelt love for the Holy Sacrament. May their humble service at the altar be a living witness of Christ’s love and presence among us. As they carry the Body of Christ to the faithful, especially the sick and homebound, may they be strengthened with grace, compassion, and spiritual joy May their ministry inspire others to grow in faith, unity, and devotion to the Holy Eucharist.
