Confidence, clarity, and courage on stage – Elocution by Catholic Sabha Bondel.

Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh®, Bondel Unit, organized an Elocution Competition in Konkani and Kannada for the children of Bondel Church on October 2, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the Church Mini Hall.

The programme commenced with a prayer, invoking God’s blessings. Mr Wilfred Alvares extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Mr Colin Miranda introduced the esteemed judges of the competition – Mrs Sharel D’Souza-Kelarai and Mr Martin D’Souza-Vamanjoor – who were felicitated with roses by the Catholic Sabha members as a token of respect.

Judge Mrs Sharel D’Souza addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the importance of elocution, encouraging participants to build confidence and clarity in their speech. She also wished them success in their future endeavors.

Mr Sujay D’Silva, President of Catholic Sabha Bondel Unit, motivated and encouraged the children with his words of appreciation. Mrs Olivia D’Sa, Secretary of the Bondel Unit, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.

The entire event was ably compered by Mr Wilfred Alvares. The elocution competition was well organized under the leadership of Mr Colin Miranda, who served as the programme organizer. A large number of enthusiastic children participated, showcasing their talents with confidence and courage.

The winners were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes, while all participants were appreciated for their efforts. The programme received wholehearted support from all Catholic Sabha members. The event not only highlighted the importance of public speaking but also strengthened the mission of Catholic Sabha Bondel in nurturing the confidence and leadership qualities of the younger generation.
