The much-awaited Bondel Fiesta 2025 began on a vibrant note, bringing together a dazzling array of fun, cultural performances, and excitement. The event celebrated diversity by showcasing the rich traditions, talents, and unity of the community.

On January 25th, the event held at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Church Compound, was graced by distinguished personalities, including Mr. Walter Nandalike, Managing Director of Daijiworld Media Network Pvt. Ltd. Joining him on the dais were esteemed guests such as Mr. Rehman Kunjathbail, Mr. Srinivas Salian, the parish priest Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr William D’Souza, Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium School Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, PPC Vice President Mr. John D’Silva, Secretary Mr. Santosh Misquith, and the event coordinator, Mr. Manoj Lewis.

The guest of honor, Mr. Walter Nandalike, addressed the gathering with profound words, stating, “Bondel Fiesta 2025 is a celebration for people of all religions and communities. It embodies the spirit of diversity, demonstrating that despite our differences, we are united as one.” He extended heartfelt congratulations to the Bondel Parish Community, the parish clergy, and everyone in attendance, commending their collective efforts in fostering unity and harmony.

Mr. Rehman Kunjathbail Social Activist shared his gratitude for being part of the event, saying, “It is an honor to be here at Bondel Fiesta 2025. I am thankful to the parish clergy and everyone who has gathered here. This celebration shows that all religions are one, united in love and togetherness.”

Mr. Srinivas Salian, a talented artist, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the significance of such gatherings. He remarked, “Bondel Fiesta 2025 is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to come together. Events like this should happen more often, as they strengthen our bonds and celebrate unity. My heartfelt thanks to the parish clergy and the organizing committee for making this possible.”

The parish priest, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, provided a meaningful historical context, stating, “Bondel Fiesta began in 2019 with the active participation of Bondel parishioners. Since the declaration of the St. Lawrence Church and Shrine as a shrine, this event has become a significant opportunity to celebrate unity. Let us use this occasion to live in harmony, love, and peace, showcasing to the world that we are brethren.”

Bondel Parish experienced an unforgettable evening as the ICYM, YCS, and the children of the parish captivated the audience with a stunning mob dance performance, creating an electrifying start to the highly anticipated inter-parish competition. On January 25th, two teams showcased their exceptional talents in the Inter-Parish Variety Show, with the remaining teams ready to shine on January 26th.

On January 25th, Day One set the stage for an unforgettable experience, with lively music, traditional dances, interactive games, and mouthwatering food stalls offering a taste of global flavors. The festive atmosphere beautifully reflected the true essence of togetherness and cultural harmony, bringing people together in celebration and joy.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere were Mr. Roshan Crasta and Miss Melba, accompanied by talented singers from Bondel parish, who enchanted the audience with their melodious voices. The event was a celebration of cultural richness, featuring energetic baila performances, an array of food stalls, and lively interactions that brought together people from various communities in a spirit of unity and joy.
