On Sunday, June 29, after the 7:00 a.m. Mass at St Lawrence Church and Shrine, Bondel, the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) held its election for new office bearers at the SVP office.

The meeting and election commenced with a prayer, following which the election process was conducted.

The election was led by Mr DENIS NERIS D’SOUZA. The newly elected office bearers are as follows:

President: Mr Prakash Pinto

Vice President: Mr Sandeep Misquith

Secretary: Mr Gratian Lobo

Treasurer: Mrs Shiny Monteiro

The outgoing president, Mr Neris Dias, warmly congratulated the newly elected office bearers and officially handed over all the necessary documents and responsibilities to the incoming president. In his address, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the members for their unwavering support, cooperation, and commitment during his tenure. He acknowledged the collective efforts of the team in carrying out the mission of SVP—serving the poor and the needy with compassion and dedication. Mr Neris Dias also encouraged the new team to continue the good work with renewed enthusiasm and unity, assuring them of his continued support and prayers.

Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza the Parish Priest / the Spiritual Director of SVP Bondel, congratulated the newly elected office bearers and commended the selfless service of the outgoing team. He appreciated the SVP’s continuous and compassionate efforts in reaching out to the poor and the underprivileged, highlighting their vital role in the mission of the Church. Fr Andrew also encouraged the new team to carry forward this noble work with dedication, unity, and a spirit of humility. He extended his blessings and best wishes to the newly appointed members for a successful and grace-filled tenure.

Mr. Ronald Lasrado thanked the former president, Mr Neris Dias, for his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure.

The election concluded with a thanksgiving hymn.
