August 15, 2025 (Friday): St Lawrence English Medium School celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with patriotic fervor. The program began at 8:00 a.m. with a grand procession led by the school band, accompanied by dignitaries and guests.

The Chief Guest, Ms Mishal Queenie D’ Costa, IRS, was joined by Rev. Fr.Andrew Leo D’Souza Correspondent, Rev. F. Peter Gonsalves Principal & Assistant Priest of Rev Fr Lawrence, Cuthina, Mr John D’Silva Vice President PPC, and Ms. Helen Fernandez Headmistress, St Lawrence English Medium Kannada School on dias.

Following the flag hoisting ceremony and the singing of the Jana Gana Mana, students presented a vibrant cultural program. Prizes were distributed to winners of sports and various competitions.

In her address, Ms Mishal emphasized the importance of honoring the nation, protecting the environment, and contributing positively to society.

Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza conveyed Independence Day greetings and urged students to uphold the values and sacrifices of our freedom fighters in their daily lives.

The celebration concluded with a spirit of patriotism and unity among students, staff, and guests.
