Mother Teresa Ward joyfully celebrated its annual feast on the evening of Thursday, September 11th.
The celebration commenced with heartfelt devotional hymns rendered by the Apostoline Sisters of Maryhill Convent. This was followed by eighteen children from Bala Yesu Nilaya, Maryhill, who inspired prayerful reflection through their melodious Marian hymns in Kannada, creating an ambience of sacred devotion.
Ward Gurkar Mr Melwin Mascarenhas extended a warm welcome to the parish clergy, religious, and ward members.
Parish Priest Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, in his address, conveyed his heartfelt joy in witnessing the spirit of unity and active involvement among the ward members.Reflecting on the life of their patron saint, Mother Teresa, he shared that her selfless mission remains a source of inspiration for all. He gratefully acknowledged the Apostolic Carmel Sisters, Bala Yesu Convent Sisters, Vijay Mary Convent Sisters, and the Betharam Brothers, along with their superiors, whose presence added a special grace and blessing to the celebration.
On behalf of the ward, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza was first felicitated by Mr. Sebastian with a shawl and a floral bouquet, presented by Ward Gurkar Mr Melwin. Later, Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza in turn felicitated Mr Sebastian with a shawl and a floral bouquet in appreciation of his guidance and constant support. Before the festive meal, Rev. Fr Andrew led the gathering in a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving.
Mr Sebastian compered the evening’s programme. The delicious meal was lovingly prepared by the Mother Teresa Ward members in collaboration with the Apostolic Carmel Sisters.
The celebration concluded with a joyous Noven Jevan, where all present shared a festive meal in an atmosphere of fellowship, gratitude, and God’s blessings.
