On Sunday, 14th September, St Joseph Ward joyfully celebrated the Nativity of Mother Mary at the residence of Dr Amith Menezes. The evening began with a heartfelt prayer hymn, after which Ward Gurkar Mr Manoj Lewis extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests and all ward members. The ward members extended a warm welcome to Rev. Fr Andrew Leo Dsouza & and Rev.Fr Peter Gonsalves by presenting each with a rose.

The honoured guests were Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest, and Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, Principal of St Lawrence English Medium School. Together, the gathering sang Marian hymns, prayed the Rosary, and offered flowers along with the Novena in loving devotion to Mother Mary.

Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza extended feast greetings to all and, in his inspiring message, urged everyone to emulate Mother Mary’s humility, obedience, and spirit of praise. He reminded the gathering that Mary’s unwavering faith and trust in God are a guiding light for every Christian family. He encouraged the faithful to cultivate a prayerful heart, to serve one another with love, and to strengthen their families through daily prayer and acts of kindness.

During the gathering, all ward members who celebrated their birthdays in September month were warmly felicitated and presented with a rose.

Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves offered the grace before the meal, following which the ward members joyfully partook in a festive dinner, adding to the spirit of fellowship and celebration

The entire programme was gracefully compered by Mr Stany Tauro, and the evening concluded in an atmosphere of warm fellowship and joy.
