We, the ward members of Holy Cross Ward, celebrated our annual day on Sunday the 18th of September, 2016 at 5:30 pm at ‘Nazareth Niwas’ residence. The formal stage programme began with prayer song led by Mr. Rony Nazareth followed by a floral welcome to the chief guests- Asst. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Jason Monis, Fr. Leo Veigas,  Parish Council Vice President Mr. Henbert Pinto and the secretary and Mr. Wilfred Alvares, Superior of Nazareth Niwas Sr. Nancy,  Provincial Sr. Albina and ward leader Mr. Blasius D’Souza onto the dais. Mrs. Precilla Machado, ward secretary presented the annual report. The guests conveyed their inspiring message and appreciated us for our service in the ward and the church. Mr. Lancy Menezes, our ward representative delivered the Vote of Thanks.

The cultural programme was organized by the musicians, dancers and actors in our ward who displayed their talents with melodius songs, dance and a skit. Ms. Alisha Maria Aranha brought in cheerful and
enthusiastic moments by conducting interesting games. The programme was compered by Mrs Monica D’Silva. Finally we ended the celebration with a fellowship dinner and left with a happy heart and a cheerful smile and lots of memories to cherish.
