The Novena began with the Eucharistic Celebration with the theme “Word of God – Aid to live a life of Forgiveness”. The Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Felix Monteiro along with Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Vinod Lobo, Rev Fr. Charles and Rev. Fr. Ravi. Special prayers were offered for all those who are into addictions and bad habits.

In the Homily Fr. Felix Said, “Sin is due to human nature, but Forgiveness comes from divine nature. When we don’t forgive how will our hearts be healed? Today we have to forgive as we have received forgiveness for our sins and mistakes.  It’s not easy to forgive but it is not impossible.”

Highlighting some ways to forgive Fr. Felix Said, “To forgive we have to think of the person who has hurt us, and then ask for the graces from God to forgive.  We have to see the wrong done to us in a new dimension, then see our enemy as our friend and finally forgive seventy times seven.”

“Forgiveness calms the mind and relieves all the pain that we have. As Jesus Christ our Lord forgive from the cross and St Lawrence when he was suffering did not curse but he testified God, let Jesus Christ and  St Lawrence be an inspiration for us to forgive.” He said.

The Choir was led by Cascia Church Choir Group. Bread was distributed to all the devotees who were present for the Novena.
