Three-Day Retreat for Married Couples held at Bondel

A spiritually enriching three-day retreat for married couples was successfully organized at St Lawrence Church & Shrine in collaboration with the Family Life Center and Missionary Families of Christ. The retreat took place from March 6 to March 8, running from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day, offering valuable guidance to couples seeking a faith-filled and harmonious married life..

The retreat was led by esteemed clergy members, including Rev. Fr Basi lvas, Parish Priest of Vorkady, Rev. Fr Joseph Martis, Parish Priest of Derebail Parish, and Rev. Fr Cyril Lobo from Divya Jyothi, Udupi Diocese. They were joined by Rev. Fr Alwyn Richard D’Souza, Director of the Family Life Center, and Rev. Fr Andrew Leo Parish Priest St Lawrence Church , who conducted praise and worship sessions, adding a deeply spiritual dimension to the gathering.

The retreat revolved around Vital themes such as ‘Wedding Life,’ ‘Love and Forgiveness,’ ‘Selfishness & Distrustful Attitudes.’ The sessions focused on strengthening relationships, overcoming challenges, and fostering understanding between spouses. Each day concluded with the Eucharistic Mass, followed by adoration, offering couples an opportunity for deep prayer and reflection.

Married couples from various parishes participated in large numbers, seeking spiritual nourishment and guidance for a joyful and fulfilling married life. Special prayers were offered for newly married couples, invoking God’s blessings for a faith-centered and harmonious union.
