Bondel Church came alive with laughter, learning, and lively activities during its two-day Summer Camp for children, held on April 9th and 10th, 2025 at St Lawrence English Medium Auditorium.
This much-anticipated event was inaugurated with a prayerful opening ceremony by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza (Parish Priest), in the esteemed presence of Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves (Principal St Lawrence English Medium School ,Rev. Fr William D’Souza (Assistant Parish Priest), and Mrs Laveena Fernandes (Catechism Coordinator).
The camp featured a vibrant lineup of activities carefully curated to blend fun, faith, and formation. The children enthusiastically took part in: Team-based group activities ,Rhythmic action songs,Energetic dance performances,Uplifting motivational and spiritual sessions
Exciting water and fun games, Each session was designed to foster teamwork, creativity, confidence, and spiritual growth in a joyful and inclusive environment.
A special mention goes to the seminary brothers—Br Denzil, Br Loyed, Br Avil, and Br Michael—who took charge of coordinating the camp with energy and excellence. Their enthusiasm and guidance played a crucial role in making the event impactful.
The camp’s success was also a result of the collaborative efforts of: Ladies Association – lovingly preparing and serving meals,ICYM youth – ever ready with helping hands and smiles
Cultural Committee – adding flavor and flair,Catechism Teachers – guiding and supporting throughout.
With 65 young campers participating, the event was a resounding success. The children expressed immense joy, and parents appreciated the initiative for providing a wholesome, safe, and spiritually enriching experience during the summer break.
The camp concluded on a high note with a heartfelt message of thanks from rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza the Parish Priest, who extended his deep appreciation to every individual and group involved. He commended the spirit of service, collaboration, and love that brought the camp to life.
The Bondel Church Summer Camp 2025 was more than just an event—it was a celebration of community spirit, joy, and the faith journey of young hearts. The memories created will surely linger as seeds of growth in every child who participated.
