The second day of the Lenten Retreat at St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel, began at 4:00 PM with the Way of the Cross, setting a solemn and prayerful tone for the evening.

This was followed by a powerful session of Praise and Worship led by Brother Ronald and team, lifting hearts in joyful surrender.

Rev. Fr Rovel D’Souza, OCD, delivered an inspiring talk centered on the theme “Where is God?” He reminded the faithful that God dwells within us, especially through the Eucharist. Citing 1 Corinthians 3:16 – “You are God’s temple” – he emphasized the call to holiness, urging everyone to reflect: Are we truly holy? To be holy, he said, we must discover God in ourselves, in our families, and in our society.

Br Joel continued the reflection with a talk on the importance of prayer. Referring to Matthew 6:6, he explained how prayer should be a personal, intimate connection with God in silence. He highlighted that Jesus Himself spent much time in prayer, and so must we, to grow in faith and live as true followers of jesus Christ.

The evening concluded with the Eucharistic Mass, celebrated by Rev.Fr Rovel D’Souza, OCD, followed by a soul-stirring adoration led by Bro Joel, inviting everyone to surrender and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

The day ended on a grateful note with the Thanksgiving Hymn and the recitation of the Angelus.
