The third day of the Lenten Retreat at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, was a spirit-filled and grace-laden evening that led the faithful deeper into their Lenten journey.

The evening began at 4:00 p.m. with the Way of the Cross, drawing participants into a profound reflection on the passion and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

This was followed by a dynamic Praise and Worship session led by Br Joel, who emphasized the importance of God-centered prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit in overcoming human weakness. Drawing inspiration from the life of St Peter, he urged the faithful to become instruments of healing, hope, and transformation.

In his powerful preaching,Rev. Fr Rovel OCD encouraged the congregation to renounce sin, immerse themselves daily in the Word of God, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide their lives. He reminded all to listen to Jesus through Scripture, resist the desires of the flesh, and prepare their hearts spiritually for the glory of Easter.

The Eucharistic Celebration was solemnly presided over by Rev.Fr Rovel OCD, with Rev.Fr Peter Gonsalves and Rev.Fr William as concelebrants. After the Holy Mass, the faithful entered into a time of Eucharistic Adoration, led with deep reverence by Br Joel, culminating in a final blessing by Dn Alwyn Crasta

The day concluded with the heartfelt Thanksgiving Hymn and the Angelus, led by Rev.Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, leaving the community spiritually enriched and renewed in faith.
