Sunday, June 15 – The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee members of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Bondel Unit, for the year 2025-26, was held at St. Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel.
The day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 7:00 a.m., presided over by Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest and Director of ICYM Bondel. During the Mass, the newly elected members took a solemn oath to serve selflessly and work faithfully for the betterment of the association.
The oath was administered by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, who, in his address, expressed gratitude to the outgoing committee for their dedicated service. He encouraged the new committee to make the most of the leadership opportunities that ICYM provides, stating, “ICYM is a platform that molds young people into leaders for the Church and society. Let us use this opportunity to serve both with commitment and joy.”
Anson Rego, the newly elected President for 2025–26, shared his thoughts and extended his gratitude to all present.
The newly elected office bearers officially assumed their responsibilities from the former committee. The program was graced by Rev. Fr Lawrence Cutinha, Assistant Director of ICYM Bondel, and Zeena Cornelio, Animator. The ceremony concluded with the ICYM theme song.
