The day began at 4:15 PM with Word of God, praise and worship, followed by the Way of the Cross led by Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza
The preacher, Rev. Dr Rajesh Rosario, Rector of St Joseph Seminary spoke on the theme:
“Mother Mary and the Saints are role models for us.”
He explained Mary as the Mother of Christ, disciple, and Mother of the Church, and highlighted the Church as pilgrim, suffering, and glorified. He emphasized faith and intercession, clarifying that we worship God alone and honour Mary and the Saints.
The Holy Mass at 5:30 PM was celebrated by Fr Rajesh and concelebrated by Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza . The homily reflected on the five Sundays of Lent, reminding us to prepare spiritually for Easter.
Adoration followed, with special prayers for suffering people, families especially in Gulf countries, and peace in the world.
The day ended with a vote of thanks by Rev. Fr Andrew, expressing gratitude to Rev. Fr Rajesh for helping us understand more about Mother Mary and the Saints, followed by a movie on the life of Sister Rani Maria.
