The new office bearers of Catholic Sabha, Bondel Unit take charge for 2026–2027, beginning a new journey of service.

The Catholic Sabha, Bondel Unit Handover Ceremony for the year 2026 was held at the Church Basement Office on May 3rd, following the 7:30 a.m. Mass.

The programme commenced with the Word of God, followed by a reflection. The President, Mr Sujay D’Silva, extended a warm welcome to all present. The Secretary, Mrs Olivia D’Sa, presented the annual report, and the Treasurer, Mr Manish Mascarenhas, presented the annual accounts.

The dignitaries on the dais included Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves, Principal of St Lawrence English Medium School; Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Spiritual Director; Mr Santhosh D’Costa, Observer – Kelarai Parish; Mr Sujay D’Silva, President; Mr Stephen D’Silva, Immediate Past President; and Mrs Olivia D’Sa Pais, Secretary.

A felicitation programme was organised by the Catholic Sabha, Bondel Unit in honour of Rev. Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, appreciating his guidance and dedicated service as Spiritual Director, as he moves to another parish. He was honoured with a shawl and memento as a token of love and gratitude.

A cheque was handed over to Rev. Fr Peter Gonsalves for the benefit of needy school children of St Lawrence English Medium School.

The handover procedure was conducted by Mr Santhosh D’Costa, Observer – Kelarai Parish. The new office bearers were warmly welcomed with roses. The oath-taking ceremony was also conducted, marking the official assumption of responsibilities by the new team.

Mr Santhosh D’Costa wished all the office bearers good luck as they take on their new responsibilities. He encouraged them to work with unity, dedication, and a spirit of service for the growth of the Catholic Sabha and the welfare of the parish community. He also expressed confidence that the new team would carry forward the mission with commitment and sincerity. The new office bearers are as follows :

Mrs Olivia D’Sa delivered the vote of thanks. The gathering came to an end with a hymn of thanksgiving.
