The Bondel Parish organised a “Couples Day “ for the couples 0 to 20 years of marriage, was held on 13th September with the aim of strengthening marriages and families in Christ. The entire programme was coordinated and led by the Kutam Ayog and MFC brethren.

The programme began with thePrayer Song. Inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the honourary guests. Ayog Sanchalak, Mr. Clinton D’Souza welcomed the guests and the participants. Rev. Fr. Valerian Frank, Resident Priest, Mr. John Dsilva, Vice President, Mr. Alwyn Saldanha, Secretary, Mrs. Avitha Mascarenhas, Ayog Coordinator were present to witness this beautiful programme. Rev. Fr. Valerian Frank then shared a short message and words of encouragement for the couples, setting a meaningful tone for the day.

The inaugural session was followed by a couples bonding game, which gave the couples an opportunity to interact, enjoy themselves and strengthen their bond through a simple and meaningful activity.

The first talk, “Role of a Husband and Wife,” was delivered by Dr. Amit and Tina. The session helped the couples understand the responsibilities and roles of a husband and wife within the family.. It encouraged couples to recognise the role God has entrusted to each of them and to work together in building a loving and Christ-centred family.

This was followed by an action song led by the MFC Youth, which brought energy and joy to the gathering.

The second talk, “Building Homes Rooted in Christian Life,” delivered by Francis & Precilla Dsouza from MFC group, which focused on the importance of building a Christian home centred on Christ. The session highlighted the importance of prayer, nurturing family relationships and creating an environment where faith can grow within the family. The talk also touched upon the importance of respecting and protecting life, giving the couples an opportunity to reflect on the Christian responsibility towards family and life.

The programme then concluded with the celebration of Holy Mass, which was offered by Rev. Fr. Vincent, from Codialbail Press. During the Holy Mass, the couples participated in a special renewal and exchange of their Marriage vows.

The program concluded with a fellowship meal.

42 couples and 6 ladies participated in the absence of their spouse.

Altogether 150 people were part of this program.

Children’s Parallel Session

Alongside the Couples Day programme, a parallel session was conducted for the children of the participating couples by the MFC Youth. The children were engaged in a joyful and faith-filled learning environment. They were introduced to the teachings of Christ through simple activities, lessons and action songs, making the session both enjoyable and spiritually enriching.

Overall, the Bondel Couples Day was a meaningful and enriching experience that brought couples and families together, encouraging them to strengthen their relationships, deepen their faith and build their homes rooted in Christ.

Around 35 children were participated in this activity.
