Shri U.T. Khader, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, visited St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel, on 8th August 2026 during the annual feast celebrations.

Shri U.T. Khader was warmly welcomed with a floral bouquet by Most Rev. Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore, and Rev. Fr Basil Vas, Rector and Parish Priest of St Lawrence Church & Shrine, Bondel.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri U.T. Khader highlighted the shrine’s century-old history and its significance as a place of faith, peace and devotion. He shared that whenever he passes through Bondel, he makes it a point to visit the shrine and seek the intercession of St Lawrence. He appreciated the shrine as a symbol of peace, harmony and unity among people of all religions and communities, and prayed that St Lawrence may intercede for and bless all the faithful.
