Happiness is the the hope for committed life and it is the secret of committed life and the fruit of life. . we are called to live committed life.Those who live committed life will enjoy the life because they enjoy the eternal bliss in their life. St Paul was also in  prison and when he was suffering in the jail he wrote the letters and he was happy because he was commited in his mission so we also should be like him said Rev Fr Abraham SVD during the homily while celebrating the morning mass on the ningth day of novena. Later there was special prayers to the sick and many sick people were presnt for the mass. After the mass and novena meal was served to the devotees.
