The eight day novena mass began in the evening. Rev Fr Peter Gonsalves  Asst Director  of St Antony Ashram .In his sermon reflected on the theme Corporal works of mercy is the true happiness. Giving the example of a young priest Rev Fr Damien De  who worked in the island of China for the welfare of lepers and died with the same sickness. Giving this example Father explained how we can serve others. Reflecting the word of God he said we spend too much and at the same time we have to learn something to give who are in need. at the same time he said it is not right to say that I do not disturb others and I do not help others rather it is important to help others he said. The children choir from Derebail Parish helped in singing the hymns.
