The Novena began with Adoration and then Eucharistic Celebration with the theme “Word of God – Solace to the suffering”. The Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil Fernandes along with Rev. Fr. Andrew, Rev. Fr. Leo Veigas and Rev Fr. Charles. Special prayers were offered for all the Sick.

In the homily Rev. Fr. Anil said, “God listens to the prayers which are done with faith and also which are done with a Pure heart. There are various types of sufferings  like Christian suffering which is given by God and which is not inevitable. Suffering on the choice we make, Vicarious suffering, and diabolic suffering are avoidable”

“Jesus Christ gives us hope through the Word of God, in which he says, “Do not fear of the suffering of the world because I have won over it”. The word of god gives us solace and it is the only way and the only hope that we have” He said.

The choir was led by Simon Pais choir group. Lunch was provided to all the devotees who had come for the Novena.
