The Evening Novena began with the Eucharistic Celebration with the theme “Word of God – Solace to the suffering”. The Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Nilesh Crasta along with Rev. Fr. Vinod Lobo, Rev Fr. Charles and Rev. Fr. Ravi. Special prayers were offered for all the Sick.

In the Homily Fr. Nilesh said, “Every person suffers in one way or the other and faces failure at some moment or the other. When there is constant failure, and when someone comes and says a word of comfort, it gives us solace.  If the words of a person can give us such comfort, then how much more can the word of God give us comfort?”

“Some may suffer because of sickness, old age or Loss in a business, if they have faith in the Word of God it will provide solace to all those who suffer. When people came to Jesus with problems and discomfort they went back happily there was no sorrow. If we go to Jesus with faith and ask him to comfort us, he will surely be there for us” he said.

“There are many who thirst for the Word of God, because they know the solace they get from the Word of God. Let us thirst for the Word of God and have faith in his Solace” he stated.

The Choir was led by Kulur Church Choir Group. Bread was distributed to all the devotees who were present for the Novena.
