The Evening Novena began with the Eucharistic Celebration with the theme “Word of God – Aid to live a life of Simplicity”. The Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Dian Vaz along with Rev. Fr. Andrew,  Rev. Fr. Pius, Rev. Fr. Rahul, Rev. Fr. Ajay, Rev Fr. Vinod Lobo, Rev Fr. Charles, Rev. Fr. Vinod Lobo and Rev. Fr. Ravi. Special prayers were offered for the Missionaries.

In the Homily Fr. Dian said, “We are called for two types of mission, to live a life of love and sacrifice and to serve one another.  Without suffering there is no victory and without death there is no life and without these it is impossible to follow Christ. The modern thought is about ‘Get it Fast’ with less effort and everything should work like a remote control, but Jesus doesn’t think this way, his way is of self-denial, taking up his or her cross and following him.”

“In the list of God there are 3 types of people, The first who light the fire the second one are one who propagate the fire or do not bother much, and the third one is those who put of the fire. St Lawrence belongs to the third category. The fire is the problem or which destroys. Let us pray for the ability to put of this fire in the modern world” he said.

The Choir was led by Angelore Church Choir Group. Bread was distributed to all the devotees who were present for the Novena.
